Relocation of Athens caseload

Please see below details of the changes.

The work being relocated includes partner and other family migration applications for citizens and residents of Greece, Bulgaria and Albania and some Kosovo applications. Citizens and residents of Kosovo may currently lodge their applications in Austria, Serbia or Greece but from 14 December 2009 they will be able to lodge their applications in Austria, Serbia or Berlin.

Athens will continue to provide prelodgement information to clients for these visa subclasses but the applications should be lodged in Berlin (by post or courier) and post lodgement queries should be directed to the Berlin Office. Clients are encouraged to raise post lodgement queries by email to: visaquestions.berlin@dfat.gov.au .

Applications lodged prior to 14 December 2009 will continue to be processed by the Athens post.
